How do you determine if one is a great actor? Got any examples of actors you love and why?
I love Robert Redford, he just makes everything seem so real to me. It's in the way he speaks for me.

Ian Mackellen as Gandalf he just brought that character alive,so much so that he said it's not me it's Gandalf, and I have to agree he is completely believeble. Also Orlando Bloom, who was picked straight from stage school to play Legolas the elf ..how do you research or imagine, how an elf would look or react, to a certain situation, apart from reading LOTR and OB didn't have sufficent time to research this part so I was very impressed with him..

Orlando is a good actor, though I liked him as Legolas more than anything else. The way he speaks while on screne can be a bit iffy to me.

Well he's still learning and will develop with each film.
